As a contributor, you’ll not only gain the opportunity to share your work with an engaged and impact-driven global audience, but also earn revenue from your content. By partnering with us, you’ll join a growing movement of creators who are not just creating noise for the sake of noise, but actively seeking to make a difference to the world around them through their work.

We are committed to telling stories that push boundaries, challenge perspectives, and inspire change. To ensure we stay true to this mission, we accept content that aligns with the following values:

1. Social Impact:
We seek documentaries and stories that address important, often overlooked issues, such as:

  • Mental health and well-being

  • Women’s health (including topics like menstruation, menopause, pregnancy, and miscarriage)

  • Racial equality, diversity, and inclusion

  • Criminal activity (e.g. trafficking, gang activity, prisons, etc)

  • Social justice and activism

  • Personal empowerment and identity

  • Taboo or stigmatised topics that deserve attention

  • Whistleblowing

2. Authenticity and Honesty:
We prioritise content that is genuine, raw, and honest—stories that are not afraid to explore the complexities of real-life experiences. We welcome voices from underrepresented communities and creators who bring their unique perspectives to the forefront.

3. Quality and Creativity:
We value high-quality storytelling, whether through documentary filmmaking, personal narratives, or journalistic investigation. Your content should be engaging, well-crafted, and thought-provoking.

How You Can Earn Money by Contributing

We believe in fair compensation for your hard work and creativity. As a contributor, you will have the opportunity to earn money through our revenue-sharing model. Here’s how it works:

  1. Subscription Revenue Share:

    • As a contributor, you will earn a percentage of the subscription revenue generated from your content. The more your content is viewed, the more you can earn.

    • Creators whose content performs well—measured by views, watch time, shares, and audience interaction - will be eligible for performance-based bonuses. These bonuses are designed to reward high-quality, engaging content that resonates with our community.

  2. Ad Revenue Share:

    • If your content is monetised with ads, you’ll earn a portion of the ad revenue generated by your content. This includes pre-roll ads, mid-roll ads, and any other relevant monetisation formats.

    • The more engaged your audience is with your content, the more ad revenue you can generate.

  3. Creator Promotion & Exposure:

    • By hosting your content on The Platform, you gain exposure to a passionate community of viewers who value meaningful content. Through our co-marketing efforts, we’ll promote your work on social media, in newsletters, and within our platform to help grow your audience.

    • As your content performs well, we’ll also feature your work on our homepage and other prominent spaces to increase visibility.

  4. Creator Support & Resources:

    • As part of our contributor community, you will have access to resources that can help you grow as a creator, including storytelling workshops, technical support, and expert advice. These tools will help you maximise your content’s impact and revenue potential.

HOW TO SUBMIT YOUR CONTENT

We want to make it easy for you to share your stories with The Platform. Here’s how to get started:

  1. Step 1: Review Our Guidelines
    Before submitting, make sure your content aligns with our values and guidelines. We’re looking for content that is engaging, socially impactful, and authentic.

  2. Step 2: Submit Your Work
    Use our submission form to provide a brief overview of your content, including a synopsis, key themes, and any relevant background. You can also upload a preview or trailer of your content. Our team will review the submission and get back to you promptly.

  3. Step 3: Content Approval & Onboarding
    Once your content is approved, we’ll work with you to ensure it meets our technical and quality standards. This includes formatting, resolution, and other specifications.

  4. Step 4: Start Earning
    Once your content is live on The Platform, you’ll start earning money based on its performance. Money is paid out on a monthly basis in arrears.
